Welcome to "Behind The Bonnies," a new GoBonnies.com series where we get to know the student-athletes at St. Bonaventure University. In this edition, we meet Bonnies grad student Thea Juul
Thea Juul opened her career with St. Bonaventure on Sept. 5 when she scored the game-winner against Youngstown State.
Juul transferred to Bonaventure this year from College of Saint Rose where she played in 15 games and tallied an assist during her time there. She helped her team to a Northeast 10 league title and 20-0-2 record.
She started her collegiate career at Young Harris College and played there from 2020-2022. During her stint there she played in 30 games, starting 29 of them. She recorded six goals and five assists, including one game-winner.Â
Thea Juul is a native of Silkeborg, Denmark.

What is your favorite memory playing your sport? Playing in the U18 national championship in Denmark
What is your favorite hobby to do outside of playing your sport? Walk my dog, watching Grey's Anatomy and Facetime with my family back home
Where is your dream vacation spot? The Maldives or New ZealandÂ
What is the best part about being a part of your Bonnies team? The family we create and the culture and relationships within the team
What is your favorite sports team and who is your favorite athlete? My favorite team is Manchester United and my favorite athlete is Cristiano RonaldoÂ
Why did you choose St. Bonaventure? St. Bonaventure is my third school and I saw it as a great fit for me to get my Master's degree and finish my last year of college eligibility
What is your unpopular opinion? I love pineapple on pizzaÂ
What is your favorite quote from your Coach? "Be us. Be brave."
Where is your favorite place you've traveled with the team? Texas
You can bring any four people to dinner, who are you inviting? Lewis Hamilton, Cristiano Ronaldo, Drake and ASAP RockyÂ
What is something you think most people don't know about your sport? That it isn't just kicking a ball around. There's so much more to it and it's very mentally and physically challenging.Â
If you weren't playing your sport, what other sport would you most like to play? Handball or Tennis
