WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer junior goalkeeper Nicolas Pucci has been selected as the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
Pucci was key in the Bonnies' undefeated week (1-0-1), posting a pair of clean sheets against George Washington and La Salle.
At George Washington Wednesday, Pucci made just one save, coming in the 82nd minute to preserve the shutout.
In Saturday's victory against the Explorers, he stopped all four shots he faced, including a chance in the 71st minute.
For the season, Pucci ranks third in the Atlantic 10 with 45 saves.
The Bonnies are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 15 when they host Bucknell.
