Welcome to "Behind The Bonnies," a new GoBonnies.com series where we get to know the student-athletes at St. Bonaventure University. In this edition, we meet Bonnies men's soccer junior Will O'Connor
Will O'Connor scored his first goal in a St. Bonaventure uniform this season on Oct. 15 against Bucknell. O'Connor came in as a reserve and made an immediate impact to extend the Bonnies lead to 3-1 as part of a Bona's victory.
As a sophomore, O'Connor appeared in three contests. As a freshman, O'Connor appeared in one contest while earning honors to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
In high school, O'Connor helped lead Shorewood High to two Wisconsin State Championships. He also earned All-Conference First Team honors as a junior and senior.
Will O'Connor is a native of Shorewood, Wisc.
What is your favorite memory playing your sport? Winning state senior year [of high school]
What is your favorite hobby to do outside of playing your sport? Intramurals
Where is your dream vacation spot? Italy
What is the best part about being a part of your Bonnies team? Learning about others' cultures
What is your favorite sports team and who is your favorite athlete? Milwaukee Bucks, Ronaldo
Why did you choose St. Bonaventure? I like the coaching staff and the fact Coach Suprise was from MKE (Milwaukee)
You can bring any four people to dinner, who are you inviting? Ronaldo, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock and my dad
What is your favorite quote from your Coach? "It's friggin life"
Where is your favorite place you've traveled with the team? Penn State
If you could live inside one TV show/movie what would it be? Breaking Bad
What is something you think most people don't know about your sport? It is more physical than you would believe
If you weren't playing your sport, what other sport would you most like to play? Volleyball
