TIPPING OFF
The Bonnies look to bounce back after a 60-52 setback on the road at Youngstown State Tuesday evening.
Dani Haskell poured in a game-high 24 points for the Brown and White on 8-of-16 shooting, including four threes to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals. Isabellah Middleton also finished in double figures with 15 points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.
The Bonnies were able to pull with five, 55-50, after a Middleton layup with 3:19 showing on the clock, forcing a Youngstown State timeout.
That would be as close as the Bonnies would get as the Penguins held the Brown and White without a field goal over the final three minutes.
CRASHING THE GLASS
Redshirt senior Isabellah Middleton leads the Bonnies through the first two games in rebounding, grabbing 6.5 boards per game.
In 32 career games with the Bonnies, Middleton has 23 contests with five or more rebounds, grabbing a Bonnies career-high 12 against Loyola Chicago Dec. 30, 2023. She has finished 13 games as the team's leading rebounder during her SBU career.
DOWNTOWN DANI
Redshirt senior Dani Haskell has made a team-best six 3-pointers this season, moving her St. Bonaventure total to 60. In 28 games with the Bonnies, Haskell has 11 games with three or more made treys.
Haskell has also registered five 20-point games for the Bonnies.
ATLANTIC 10 WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Freshman Mackenzie Pettinelli and Middleton were members of the Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor Roll Monday afternoon after helping the Bonnies to a season-opening victory over Binghamton last Saturday at the Reilly Center.
Middleton led the Bonnies with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals while Pettinelli chipped in 14 points, six rebounds and six assists in her collegiate debut.
