The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team renews its rivalry with Little Three rival Canisius Tuesday evening in Buffalo. Tip is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Koessler Athletics Center.

TIPPING OFF
The Bonnies are looking to snap a short two-game skid after falling to Bowling Green Saturday afternoon in Ohio, 92-41.
Freshman Hannah Richardson paced the Bonnies with nine points in a career-high 22 minutes off the bench. Redshirt senior Dani Haskell chipped in seven points for the Bonnies while freshman Lena Walz tallied six points.
A 23-0 third quarter run from the Falcons proved to be the difference as the hosts lead grew to 71-32 during that span.
MILESTONE WATCH
Redshirt senior Isabellah Middleton enters Tuesday's contest just 22 points shy of 1,000 for her collegiate playing career. Middleton registered 596 points in two seasons at Slippery Rock before joining the Bonnies prior to the 2023-24 season.
Fellow redshirt senior Dani Haskell is seven games shy of 100 for her career. Haskell also joined the Bonnies prior to the 2023-24 season, appearing in 64 games over two-plus seasons at Canisius.
ABOUT CANISIUS
- Canisius enters Tuesday's matchup 1-2 to start the year and are coming off a 48-46 win over Saint Francis (PA) Friday evening. The Golden Griffins kicked off their season with a pair of road losses at Pittsburgh and at Penn State. Canisius was picked to finished 13th in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason poll.
- The Golden Griffins are coached by Tiffany Swofford who took over as head coach of the women's basketball program in April 2024. Swofford replaced Sahar Nusseibeh who took the head coaching position at Eastern Michigan. Swofford spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach at Penn State.
- Canisius is led offensively by Franka Wittenberg who is averaging 7.7 points per game. Shariah Gailes is averaging 6.0 points and a team-high 6.0 rebounds per game to begin the season.
SERIES NOTES
- Tuesday marks the 59th matchup between the Bonnies and Golden Griffins, dating back to the 1972-73 season. Canisius got the better of the Bonnies in the first four matchups with the first St. Bonaventure win coming at the Reilly Center in 1976-77, 48-39.
- The all-time series is currently tied 29-29. The Bonnies longest win streak over the Golden Griffins was 10 from 2006-15 while Canisius won six straight contests from 1981-83.
- Coach Crowley is 12-2 all-time vs. Canisius, including six wins at the Koessler Athletics Center. Overall, the Bonnies are 9-13 while playing Canisius on the road.
