Prior to the Feb. 10 men's basketball game at the Reilly Center, St. Bonaventure named its Hall of Fame Suites after Larry Weise, '58.

Weise, whose playing, coaching and administrative career at St. Bonaventure University spanned nearly 40 years, was honored on the court where he coached for 12 seasons.

Weise's wife Julie, their sons Rich and Bob and daughters Kathy (Shafer) and Kristen (Nash) along with dozens of other family members and friends joined the sellout crowd to salute Weise with a standing ovation when he walked to center court.

Following a video highlight, Weise joined Director of Athletics Joe Manhertz to watch as a sign bearing Weise's name was unveiled, dedicating the Larry Weise Hall of Fame Suites. Following the game, about 100 family and friends gathered in the Hall of Fame Room to unveil a tribute mural to Weise.
