LOUISVILLE – The St. Bonaventure University softball team dropped a pair of games to Bellarmine and Evansville Sunday afternoon in Kentucky.

The Bonnies grabbed a 3-1 lead through five and half innings with two RBIs coming off the bat of Kymora Wang by way of a double and a single.

A seven-run bottom half of the fifth for Bellarmine proved to be the difference in the matchup.

The Bonnies were able to pull one back on a passed ball in the top of the six, but the Knights tacked on four more runs during their turn in the sixth, earning the victory.

Grace Walker also tallied a pair of hits for the Brown and White in game one while Brooke Bobbey reached base three times via walks.

In game two, Evansville used a pair of home runs, a single and an error to score 10 runs in the top of the first and never looked back.

Kylie Bickert cut the deficit to nine in the bottom of the first with a sacrifice fly, scoring Sydney DeGram.

Evansville, however, tacked on three insurance runs in the top of the second.

The Bonnies once again looked to rally with Reanna Perkins belting the first home run of her career, driving in a pair of runs and making it a 13-3 game.

Later in the game, Wang registered her second RBI double of the day, scoring Perkins from third.

The Aces used a four-run top of the fifth on three hits and an error to earn the win.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, March 16 when they travel to Philadelphia to begin Atlantic 10 play against Saint Joseph's.
