SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – The St. Bonaventure golf team opened up the spring portion of its schedule with competition at the Ross Collegiate Classic Monday and Tuesday at Mid-Pines Golf Club.

The Bonnies were led by senior Jude Cummings whose opening round of 1-over 73 was the standout card of the week for the squad. He followed up with a second round 78 before finishing with 75 Tuesday for a 226 total that stood tied for 58^th out of 100 competitors in the field. He finished the tournament with eight birdies for the week.

Sophomore Gabe Williams was consistent for the tournament with rounds of 76-75-76 while graduate student Lance Sininger's second round 74 was his best round of the tourney (78-74-79).

Also in the lineup for Bona were Peter Byrne (77-79-76) and Michael Bucko (79-79-81). Playing as an individual, Caleb Decker recorded 79-82-76.

The Bonnies finished 16^th in the 16-team field (304-306-306).

St. Bonaventure returns to action March 25-26 at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va.
