STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure golf team finished 13th at the Rutherford Intercollegiate held Saturday and Sunday at the Penn State Blue Course.
The Bonnies posted team scores of 309 and 297 in the 36 holes held Saturday before settling for 316 on Sunday.
Sophomore Michael Bucko led the Bonnies, tying for 48th in the 76-player field. Bucko delivered rounds of 75 and 73 on Saturday before a final round 81 (229).
Jude Cummings was two shots back of Bucko (78-78-75/231) while Gabe Williams was just one shot back of Cummings (78-73-81/232).
Also in the lineup for the Bonnies were Lance Sininger (79-75-80/234) and Peter Byrne (78-76-80/234).
St. Bonaventure has one more tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championship as the Bonnies will host Colgate in a head-to-head match next Saturday and Sunday at Bartlett Country Club.
