The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team gears up for the first week of Atlantic 10 Conference play with two dates on the docket this week. The Bonnies will open the A-10 slate at George Washington Thursday with a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
 
NON-CON RECAP
The Bonnies finished the non-conference portion of the schedule with a 1-6-1 record. Bona had five goal scorers, and eight players record a point in their first eight games including six players with their first collegiate points. Goalkeepers Chiara Gottinger and Jael Schubert combined for a shutout in the Bonnies victory over Youngstown State. 
 
ATLANTIC 10 ACTION
The Bonnies started Atlantic 10 play 2-0-1 in 2023 and look to get off to the same great start this season. The Brown and White tied with Dayton in a scoreless game at home before defeating Davidson and Fordham on the road. 
 
The first three games of conference action this season will come against GW, UMass and VCU. 
 
DYNAMIC DUO
Seniors Bridget Kennedy and Sydney Hayward are the only two Bonnies to play full time in all eight games this season. The pair of captains also took on a heavy load of minutes last season, totaling over 1,500 minutes played in 17 games in 2023. 
 
ABOUT GW
The Revolutionaries were selected to finish 14^th in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll following a 1-8-1 conference record in 2023. To start 2024, GW has a 2-4-2 record in non-conference play with wins over Towson and Drexel. 
 
SERIES HISTORY
Since 1993, the Bonnies are 5-17-2 against the Revolutionaries. Last season, the teams met in the final game of the regular season with GW taking a 3-2 win over SBU at the Marra Athletics Complex.
