CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – St. Bonaventure University women's tennis senior Tamara Bachmann and freshman Sara Montano Parada advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Regionals hosted by Harvard.

Action began for Bona's Thursday.

The Bonnies duo began their run with a win over Boston's Blanka DeMicheli and Rhea Rai by default.

Montano Parada and Bachmann then bested Annelise Beltran and Jolie Holte from Stonehill, 8-1, moving on to play Yale's Leena Friedman and Orly Ogilvy in the Round of 16.

The Brown and White's run came to an end in the Round of 16, however, falling to Friedman and Ogilvy, 8-5.

In singles action, Sienna Smith picked up a win over Cornell's Tanya Fan, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, in the qualifying bracket.

Montano Parada also picked up a win in singles action with a 6-1, 7-6 victory of DeMicheli in the main draw consolation bracket.

The Bonnies are back in action Friday, Oct. 24 when they travel to the Binghamton Duals.
