WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure golf freshman Colin Barber has received recognition as the Atlantic 10 Golf Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.

Barber helped the Bonnies to a third-place finish at the Matthews Auto Intercollegiate held on the Links at Hiawatha Landing outside Binghamton this past week. The Victor, N.Y. native was a steady part of the Bona lineup, firing a 1-over 73 in the tournament's first round before helping the Bonnies rise up the leaderboard on the final day with a second round 72.

In his last four rounds over the past two tournaments, Barber entered this week having shot between 71 and 73 in each and has been a part of Bona's lineup in every tournament so far this fall.

The Bonnies will wrap up play in the Bucknell Invitational this week before concluding the fall season Oct. 26-28 in North Carolina at the ODU/Kilmarlic Invitational.
