ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure Athletics and the YES Network have agreed to renew their programming agreement to broadcast Bonnies basketball during the 2025-26 season with an expanded set of games on the schedule in the coming campaign.
Bona games began airing on the YES Network with nine broadcasts a season ago. This year, that number will expand to 12 with seven men's contests and five women's games from the Reilly Center. All games will be aired live on the YES Network and streamed live on YES within The Gotham Sports App.
"St. Bonaventure has a proud basketball tradition and an incredibly loyal fan base," said Sean Sullivan, Manager of Programming, YES Network. "It is a perfect partner for our college basketball lineup. Â We are excited to showcase the Bonnies and extend our commitment to delivering compelling, high-quality sports coverage to our viewers."
This year's renewal of the Franciscan Cup will begin the Bonnies slate on YES when SBU welcomes Siena to the Enchanted Mountains on Nov. 12. The Bonnies have won the last two rivalry games against their Franciscan sister school.
That contest will be the first of three straight Bonnies home games to be broadcast through the YES Network and The Gotham Sports App, along with games against Youngstown State (Nov. 15) and Robert Morris (Nov. 20). Prior to the holidays, Bona's game vs. Le Moyne on Dec. 20 will also be part of this year's agreement.
In Atlantic 10 play, Bonnies conference bouts vs. Loyola Chicago (Jan. 20), Saint Joseph's (Feb. 18) and Rhode Island (Feb. 25) will also air on YES.
For the Bona women, a non-conference battle vs. in-state foe UAlbany on Nov. 22 will be their first of the season on the YES Network and The Gotham Sports App. Bonnies women's games in Atlantic 10 action vs. Richmond (Jan. 3), La Salle (Jan. 24), Davidson (Feb. 4) and Loyola Chicago (Feb. 21) have been picked up by YES as well.
"We are thrilled to extend our partnership with YES Network, the nation's premier Regional Sports Network. Our package of games on YES Network is an important element of our overall strategy of extending the St. Bonaventure brand beyond Western New York," said St. Bonaventure Vice President and Director of Athletics Bob Beretta. "This 12-game package will provide our men's and women's basketball teams with increased exposure nationally, but also within the critical New York metropolitan television market where so many Bonnies and future Bonnies reside. Many thanks to Sean Sullivan and the entire YES Network team for providing this incredible platform to tell the Bona story."
