St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse alum Sean Westley, '22, '23, has earned a nod as one of Inside Lacrosse's "10 Breakout Players for the 2026 NLL Season."
Westley is coming off a sophomore season in the National Lacrosse League with the Las Vegas Desert Dogs where he posted 11 points in seven games. As a rookie in 2024, he racked up 23 points.
"His successful summer bodes well for an uptick in scoring when he hits the floor with Las Vegas' upgraded offensive cast in December," Inside Lacrosse wrote. "Westley, playing with Brooklin Lacrosse Club, trailed only his Desert Dogs teammate Webster in MSL scoring. He had 23 goals and 36 assists for 59 points while playing in 16 of BLC's 18 regular season games."
He was a second round pick of the Desert Dogs, 26th overall, in the 2022 NLL Draft.
As a Bonnie, Westley holds the program's Division I records in nearly every offensive category. He stands as the Bonnies career leader for points (156), goals (93) and assists (63). He is also tied for the program's single-game goals (6) and assists (4) records while owning the single-game points record outright (9).
Off the field, he excelled as well, becoming a two-time Academic All-American. He is one of just five St. Bonaventure student-athletes in any sport to achieve that feat.
The Canadian native is one of 12 Bonnies to be selected in the NLL Draft since 2021.
