WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving sophomore
Mark Mizsei has been tabbed as the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.
Â
A native of Budapest, Hungary, Mizsei put on a strong showing at this past weekend's dual meet at Niagara. He got things started by setting a new pool record with a win in the 200-fly (1:47.31). That mark is currently the best in the A-10 and a top-100 time in Division I.
Â
Mizsei also snagged a podium finish in the 100-fly. He finished second and clocked in at 48.50, which sits as the fourth-best time in the conference.
Â
The sophomore also found success in relay action, helping the Bonnies secure first place in the 200-medley relay with a combined mark of 1:31.14.
Â
Mizsei will look to continue his early-season success later this week as the Bonnies host Canisius on Friday, Nov. 7.
