WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving freshman Matheus Rinaldi has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.
 
Rinaldi turned in an impressive performance in this past weekend's dual meet at Cleveland State, standing out among other A-10 freshmen.
 
The São Paulo, Brazil native posted a second-place finish in the 1650-free with a mark of 15:56.52. That time currently sits as the best in the conference and the 22^nd best in Division I.
 
Rinaldi also collected an event win in the 500-free. His time of 4:43.68 sits as a top-15 mark in the conference.
 
The Bonnies will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 on the road at Niagara.
