The St. Bonaventure University softball team returns to action with five games this week. The Bonnies get action underway on the road Thursday, March 20 when they visit Little Three rival Canisius for a non-conference doubleheader, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Buffalo.
The Bonnies then return home to make their 2025 home debut Saturday, March 22 when they host George Mason. The three-game series gets underway at 12:00 p.m. Saturday with a doubleheader.
TEAM LEADERS
At the plate, Karena Recrosio leads the Bonnies with a .396 batting average, ranking fifth in the Atlantic 10. Recrosio has collected 19 hits, including four doubles and a triple while scoring 12 runs.
Kendall Stull leads the Bonnies in the circle with a 5.32 ERA, striking out 14 and registering a pair of saves.
Mackenzie Frani has picked up three wins in the circle for the Brown and White, striking out a team-high 21 batters in 29.1 innings of work.
CANISIUS NOTES
- Canisius enters Thursday's doubleheader 9-12 overall and is coming off a doubleheader sweep of Mercyhurst Tuesday afternoon.
- Ella Johel leads the Golden Griffins with a .433 batting average to go along with five doubles, four home runs and two triples.
- Olivia Manchester has posted a perfect 6-0 record in the circle with a 3.83 ERA, striking out 37 batters.
GEORGE MASON NOTES
- The Patriots enter the weekend 10-17 overall and 2-1 in Atlantic 10 play after picking up a pair of wins over Rhode Island last weekend. George Mason is coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 23 Virginia Tuesday evening.
- Emily Lampela is hitting .276 to lead the Patriots while Elyssa DeRosa is batting .275. DeRosa has registered five doubles and five triples in 22 hits this season.
- In the circle, Jordan Anderson has posted a team-best 1.83 ERA in 30.2 innings of work. Abbey Lane is 3-4 on the year with a 2.69 ERA, stroking out a team-best 32 batters in 52.0 innings pitched.
UP NEXT
The Bonnies head back out on the road Tuesday, March 25 when they travel to take on Mercyhurst in a non-conference doubleheader.
