BRONX – The St. Bonaventure University softball team dropped a pair of games on the road at Fordham Saturday afternoon.
The Bonnies fell in game one, 15-0, before dropping game two, 12-3.
GAME 1 – Fordham 15, St. Bonaventure 0 (F/5)
The Rams took control of game one in the bottom of the first, plating four in the inning on a pair of doubles, a triple and a single.
Fordham tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the third with a home run and a double, pushing the lead to six. Â
The hosts put the game out of reach for good in the bottom of the fourth, scoring nine to take a commanding 15-0 lead.
Victoria Jacques doubled and Nolah Moyer singled for the Bonnies.
GAME 2 – Fordham 12, St. Bonaventure 3 (F/5)
The Bonnies jumped out to an early lead in game two, scoring three in the top of the first inning.
Kendall Stull opened the scoring with an RBI groundout before Eleanor Park belted a two-run home run for the Brown and White.
Fordham pulled one back in the bottom half of the fourth on a sacrifice fly, cutting the Bonnies lead to 3-1.
The Rams came all the way back to take a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the second with four runs on a pair of singles and a double.
Fordham took control of the game in the third, plating seven in the inning highlighted by a grand slam off the bat of Eva Koratsis.
Karena Recrosio and Jacques added hits for the Bonnies in game two.
