BRONX – The St. Bonaventure University softball team fell to Fordham, 9-1, Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.
The Rams took an early 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first, scoring on a wild pitch, a pair of singles, a ground out and a walk.
Fordham tacked on an insurance run in the second with an RBI single to center field.
The Bonnies pulled one back in the top of the third when Kymora Wang belted a solo home run over the left-center field fence, making it a 6-1 game.
The Rams, however, answered with three runs in the bottom half of the third on a double and a single, pushing their lead to 9-1.
The Bonnies were able to put runners on first and second in the top of the fifth, but were unable to come away with a run as Fordham earned the series sweep.
Wang finished 3-for-3 for the Bonnies.

The Bonnies are back in action Tuesday, April 1 when they travel to take on Buffalo. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m.
