The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team opens Atlantic 10 Conference play Saturday as they host La Salle. The Bonnies will play the first game of a lacrosse doubleheader at the Marra Athletics Complex with opening draw slated for 11:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies spent their spring break in the Sunshine State, going 1-1. Bona's began the Florida trip with a dominant 17-6 win over Stetson before falling to South Florida, 19-5.
Junior
Brooke Piper had a standout game against the Hatters, recording seven points on six goals and one assist. Her performance was the first six-goal game by a Bonnie since
Fiona McGovern did it twice in 2023.
Despite a loss a USF,
Megan Schillinger helped the Bonnies lead on the draw 15-12. Her eight individual draw controls against the Bulls put her at 69 on the year, a single-season program record. The previous record of 68 was set by teammate Piper last season.

AMONG THE BEST
Schillinger has been at the top of the national rankings in draw controls all season and is currently tied for fifth with 9.86 draw controls per game. As a team, the Bonnies lead the A-10 and are 10
th in Division I in draw control percentage, winning 62.8 percent of draws this season.
Sophomore goalie
Katelyn Hicks has been outstanding in the cage for the Bonnies as well. Her season save percentage of 50.7 percent is second in the conference and 16
th in D-I. Hicks' goals against average of 9.32 is also top 25 in the nation.

BIG WINS AND CLOSE CALLS
Two of Bona's three loses were by one goal while two of their four wins have been by 10 or more goals. The Bonnies opened the season with a 13-12 overtime loss to Pitt and followed that with an 18-6 victory over Canisius. Another close call for the Bonnies came against Niagara Feb. 14 as they fell 6-5 with a chance to tie the game in the final seconds. Another big win came in the penultimate non-conference game at Stetson, taking a 17-6 victory over the Hatters.
WORKING EFFICIENTLY
Junior
Grace Hollenbeck has been an efficient scorer for the Bonnies, scoring 12 goals on 19 shots this season. The Baldwinsville, N.Y. native has landed 16 of 19 shots on goals for an 84.2 percent shots on goal percentage. She also leads the team in shooting percentage at 63.2 percent.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies are 11-14 against the Explorers all-time with a two-game winning streak. Last season, Bona's scored their largest-ever win over the Explorers in Philadelphia, 17-7. At home, the Bonnies are 7-7 in the series.

ABOUT LA SALLE
- The Explorers have started the 2025 campaign with a 1-5 record. Their lone win came in the season opener, scoring a 15-4 win at Delaware State.
- In four of their six games, La Salle has been held under 10 goals.
- La Salle was picked 10th in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, ahead of Rhode Island, which is in their inaugural season.
- Katie Johnson leads the Explorers offense with 12 points. Johnson has two four-goal games against Lafayette and FDU.
- In cage, Mary Babbage has started all six contests, posting a 13.80 goals against average and a 46% save percentage.
- In 2024, La Salle finished with a 3-11 overall record and went 1-8 in the Atlantic 10.
