Welcome to "Behind The Bonnies," a new GoBonnies.com series where we get to know the student-athletes at St. Bonaventure University. In this edition, we meet Bonnies junior Tamara Bachmann
Tamara Bachmann competes in singles and doubles matches on the women's tennis team.
As a junior, Bachmann has collected six wins during the season. Some of those wins consist of beating Binghamton, Army West Point, Ashland and Niagara.
In doubles competition, Bachmann has registered 12 wins this season. She has 10 wins with her partner Isabella Venter. Some of the schools they have defeated consists of George Mason, Fairleigh Dickinson, Niagara and Buffalo. She also has two wins with Sienna Smith. Those wins came from facing Ashland and Georgetown.
Bachmann attended Louisana Monroe in 2022-23 where she tallied four singles wins and three doubles victories

What is your favorite memory playing your sport? My favorite memories are all the countless memories made with the team, especially supporting each other during the games.
What is your favorite hobby to do outside of playing your sport? I like to play the piano, I have been playing it since I was 5 years old
Where is your dream vacation spot? My dream vacation spot would be the Maldives
What is the best part about being a part of your Bonnies team? I think it is amazing to be not just a team but a family and to support each other through everything and just to do what we love together
What is your favorite place on the Bona's campus? Probably just all parts that are very green and calm where you can calm down and relax
You can bring any four people to dinner, who are you inviting? My mum and dad and my two brothers
What is your favorite pro sports team and who is your favorite athlete? My favorite athlete of all time is Roger Federer
If you weren't playing your sport, what other sport would you most like to play? I would play soccer, I really like it
Why did you choose St. Bonaventure? I think that SBU is on a very high level academically and athletically, and the people here are very experienced
What is something you think most people don't know about your sport? Most people really underestimate how hard tennis is, especially when they play pickleball, they just assume tennis is basically the same
