ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Bonaventure University softball team fell to Saint Louis, 18-0, in the series finale on the road Sunday afternoon.

The Billikens jumped out ahead of the Bonnies early, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first on two singles and two doubles.

The Bonnies loaded the bases in the top of the second, but Saint Louis was able to work out of the jam and hold onto the four-run lead.  

Saint Louis broke the game open in the bottom of the second with four more runs and taking an 8-0 advantage.

The hosts tacked on five runs in the third via a grand slam and a solo home run, taking complete control Sunday. SLU pushed across five runs in the fourth, capturing the win.

Karena Recrosio tallied two hits for the Bonnies while Nolah Moyer and Sydney DeGram registered a hit apiece.

UP NEXT
The Bonnies return home to host Mercyhurst Thursday, May 1 for a doubleheader at Joyce Field. First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m.
