WASHINGTON, D.C. – Five members of the St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors, league officials announced Thursday. Brooke Piper and Brit Colangelo received spots on the All-Atlantic 10 First Team while Megan Schillinger was named to the Second Team. Freshman Sidney Van Tassel earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team while Fiona McGovern and Piper were also selected to the All-Academic Team.

Piper earned her second career all-conference selection after being named to the second team in 2024. The junior ranked second in the A-10 in goals per game (4.44) and 11th in Division I in the category. She broke Bona's single-season goal record that stood for 16 years by scoring 65 goals on the season. Piper is two away from tying the program's single-season points record as well, with 75 on the year.

The Aurora, Ontario native also tallied 79 draw controls, 11 groundballs, and seven caused turnovers.

While she has excelled on the field, she has also maintained a 3.84 GPA as a psychology major to receive a spot on the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career.

Colangelo was honored as a First Team defender for the second consecutive year. The junior tallied 41 groundballs and 30 caused turnovers during the regular season, good for third in the A-10 in both categories.

Her work helped the Bonnies to ranks as one of the best scoring defenses in the league, allowing just 10.53 goals per game.

Schillinger earned her first all-conference selection following a record-breaking junior season. She smashed the Bona's single-season draw controls record, amassing 140 on the season to break the previous record set by teammate Piper last season of 68. Her work in the circle has helped the Bonnies to the eighth-best draw control percentage in the nation (60.6 percent) and the best in the Atlantic 10.

Schillinger also set Bona's single-game draw control record with 14 at Stetson and now stands as the SBU career leader in draw controls with 218, surpassing Courtney Gibbons, '06, who registered 195 draws from 2003-06.

While helping the Bonnies gain valuable possessions, she has added 16 points on 12 goals and four assists as well.

Van Tassel earned a spot on the All-Rookie squad as a valuable member of the Bona midfield in her freshman season. She tallied 16 points on 12 goals and four assists while winning 21 draw controls. The Vernon, N.J. native posted a career-high four points (3G-1A) at Rhode Island in Bona's 22-10 victory and was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week for her performance.

McGovern earned a second consecutive nod to the All-Academic Team, following an outstanding senior campaign. She has 72 points (33G-39A) on the year while maintaining a 4.0 cumulative GPA as a health science major.

McGovern is second in the league in assists per game (2.29) and top ten in points per game (4.24). She is one shy of the single-season program record set by Brenna Houghton in 2007.

The Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. native surpassed the two-century mark in career points, becoming just the second Bonnie to reach the milestone. She is second in program history in career points (217), fifth in career goals (125), and third in career assists (92).

Bona's five all-conference awards are the most since the 2011 season, when Christine Hanley (First Team), Jill Remick (First Team), Karly Kocis (All-Rookie), Cara Callahan (Second Team, All-Rookie), and Catie Greene (All-Academic) were all named to All-Conference Teams.
