The St. Bonaventure University baseball team travels to Dayton for the final series of the 2025 season. The three-game set kicks off Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. Game two will take place Friday at 1 p.m. with the series finale coming Saturday at 12 p.m.
LEADOFF SPOT
The Bonnies took two of three from Massachusetts last weekend at Handler Park. Bona's grabbed game one, 10-1, behind a strong outing from Chance Moore and won game two, 10-5.
The Minutemen, however, rallied in game three to avoid the sweep, winning 9-8.
Moore went the distance for the Bonnies in the series opener, allowing just one earned run while scattering six hits. The offense got a jolt from David Marshall Jr. who put the game out of reach with a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth.
In game two, the Minutemen were able to tie the game in the top of the fifth, 5-5, but the Bonnies scored two in the sixth, two in the seventh and added an insurance run in the eighth to secure the victory and the series win.
