ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure head coach Brendan Storrier has announced the addition of Peter Collins and Lance Olson to the Bonnies men's lacrosse coaching staff for the 2025-26 academic year.

"Coach Olson and Coach Collins are two incredible men that will help our players on the field and most importantly off the field," Storrier said. "The drive and detail both of these coaches work with is second to none. Lance and Pete come from great families and have coaching in their blood."

Collins arrives in Western New York from Alabama where he most recently served as associate head coach and offensive coordinator for the University of Montevallo. While with the Falcons, he helped the program to 19 wins over the past two years. His squad averaged over 15 goals per contest this past spring and he also worked closely with the faceoff unit which won more than 66 percent of its chances during the year. Montevallo posted the eighth-ranked scoring offense in Division II this season while standing first in groundballs per game, fourth in faceoff win percentage and 11^th in assists. In 2024, Montevallo won the Peach Belt Conference regular season crown while ranking 11^th in the country in goals per game.

Previously, Collins worked with Storrier in helping to build a Division II powerhouse at Limestone (S.C.) University. As an offensive assistant on Storrier's staff, he was part of a South Atlantic Conference tournament title winner in 2023 as the Saints reached the national semifinals. Limestone ranked fourth nationally in scoring offense that year after having the conference leader in goals and a pair of all-conference attackmen the previous season.

As a player at Limestone, he was part of a squad that reached the Division II Final Four.

He got his start in coaching as a varsity coach at Sanderson (N.C.) High in 2019 before moving to the staff of Limestone.

"Coach Collins is a cerebral offensive mind who will make great connections with our players," Storrier said. "Pete is a relentless recruiter and I am looking forward to working with him again."

Olson is another rising star in the men's lacrosse coaching ranks, serving as head coach at Emmanuel (Ga.) University since 2023.

The 2025 Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, Olson inherited a program averaging under four wins per season in the eight years prior to his hiring and led the Lions to an 8-6 regular season mark this spring.

In addition to directing an improvement from a 1-15 campaign to 8-6, Olson's team also recorded the highest cumulative GPA in program history.

He earned the head coaching job at Emmanuel following a stint on staff at Montevallo where he was the Falcons' defensive coordinator, goalie coach and faceoff specialist coach from 2022-23. In his two seasons on staff, Montevallo won 22 games while the Falcons goalie ranked top-10 nationally in save percentage.

As a student-athlete, he played at Emmanuel from 2017-20 as a midfielder and helped lead the program to its first postseason tournament berth in program history. He earned 2020 Conference Carolinas All-Conference honors and was a two-time pick to the league's Academic All-Conference Team. He completed his collegiate career on Storrier's squad at Limestone where he was on the Saints' Final Four team and was selected to the 2022 All-South Atlantic Conference teams.

"Coach Olson is one of the most confident and detailed young coaches I have came in contact with," Storrier said. "I am looking forward to watching him work with our defense and create lasting relationships."
