WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving sophomore Emanuele Zingaro and freshman Pietro Mazzaretto have been tabbed the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, conference officials announced Tuesday.

The pair earned the distinction after contributing heavily to a competitive performance for SBU in a home dual meet this past weekend against Cleveland State.

Zingaro collected two individual event wins in the meet, winning both the 50-free (19.84) and the 100-free (44.56). Both of those times were good for new Reilly Center Pool records.

The Varese, Italy native also helped the Bonnies collect victories and set new pool records in relay action, swimming legs of both the 200-medley relay (1:29.30) and the 400-free relay (2:59.08).

Mazzaretto picked up two individual podium finishes against the Vikings, winning the 200-free (1:39.42) and placing third in the 100-free (45.15). The Locarno, Switzerland native also swam a leg in Bona's record-setting 400-relay performance alongside Zingaro.

The pair will see their next opportunity to make waves on Nov. 7 as the Bonnies will travel to face Canisius in a dual meet.
