UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to Cleveland State and Penn State Saturday and Sunday.

The Bonnies battled Saturday afternoon, but came up short against the Vikings, 4-3. The Nittany Lions powered past the Bonnies, 7-0, in Sunday's action.

Winning in singles action for the Bonnies against the Vikings were Sara Montano Parada, Tamara Bachmann and Kelly Barnes.

Montano Parada bested Anna Mancino at the top spot in a three-set tilt, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Bachmann scored her win at No. 3 also in three sets, 7-6, 4-6, 10-8.

Barnes also battled in a three-set match, picking up a 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 win at No. 6.

The Bonnies are back in action Friday, Feb. 20 when they take on Northern Kentucky at Dayton.
