The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team returns home to host Davidson Wednesday, Feb. 4. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Reilly Center.

This will be the fourth of five games broadcast regionally on YES Network and the Gotham Sports App. Wednesday's game will also be streamed on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies fell on the road to Loyola Chicago, 60-52, last Saturday.

Laycee Drake paced the Bonnies with 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Aaliyah Parker also finished in double figures with 10 points while Olivia DiFranco chipped in nine points.

Brianna Barr-Buday gave the Bonnies a 48-46 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Ramblers outscored the Bonnies, 14-4, over the final 4:53 to pull away for the victory.

60 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
Bona's is 10-2 this season when allowing 60 or less points, giving up 61.0 points per game. Rhode Island touts the best scoring defense in the A-10, allowing just 53.7 points per contest.

DEFENDING THE THREE
The Brown and White currently sit second in the Atlantic 10 and 52nd in the NCAA, holding opponents to a 27.6 shooting percentage from beyond the arc this season.

The Bonnies have held opponents to five or fewer made 3-pointers 12 times this season, including a season-low one made three in the season opener against Mansfield Nov. 3.

DRAKE DROPPING DIMES
Bonnies graduate Laycee Drake matched her career-high of seven assists Saturday at Loyola Chicago. She leads the Bonnies this season with 52 assists, averaging 2.3 helpers per game.

Drake currently ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in made field goals (139), fourth in field goal percentage (47.0), seventh in scoring (15.3), seventh in steals (44) and eighth in steals per game (1.9).

The Hancock, N.Y. native averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals across two games last week.

PARKER'S PROWESS
Aaliyah Parker is approaching 1,500 career points and 700 rebounds, making her one of just 27 active players nationally to achieve those numbers. Her 315 career steals stand fifth among all active players while her 2.84 steals per game are behind only Hannah Hidalgo of Notre Dame, Ny'Ceara Pryor of Texas A&M and Taylee Chirrick of Montana State.

This season she ranks third in the Atlantic 10 in steals (47), sixth in steals per game (2.0) and is 10th in free throw percentage (75.9 percent).

MAC ATTACK
Mackenzie Pettinelli has been a staple in the Bonnies lineup since joining the program last season. She has appeared in all 53 games during her career and has made 51 starts for Coach Crowley.

For her career, Pettinelli is averaging 4.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 27.5 minutes per game. She is shooting 42.3 percent from the floor and 36.7 percent from beyond the arc.

DAVIDSON NOTES

  • Davidson enters the week 15-9 overall and 7-4 in Atlantic 10 play. The Wildcats are coming off back-to-back losses to George Mason and Saint Joseph's last week. Davidson finished last season 19-14 overall and 13-5 against conference foes, earning at at-large bid to the WBIT.
  • Gayle Fulks is in her ninth season as the head coach at Davidson. She has compiled a record of 138-124 during her time in Charlotte, leading the Wildcats to six seasons with 15 or more wins.
  • Charlise Dunn leads the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding, averaging 15.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 40.2 percent from the floor. Katie Donovan also averages double figures for Davidson, chipping in 11.5 points per contest.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Wildcats are set to meet for the 17th time Wednesday evening. Davidson leads the all-time series 10-6 and has won seven straight games against the Bonnies.

Bona's last win against Davidson came Feb. 8, 2021, 71-63, behind 20 points from Asianae Johnson at the Reilly Center.

Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley is 2-3 against Davidson.

UP NEXT
The Bonnies remain at home to host Duquesne Saturday, Feb. 7. It will be the Bonnies annual Pink Game with tipoff slated for 1:00 p.m.
