Frank Mitchell Named to All-Atlantic 10 Third Team

3/11/2026 10:01:00 AM

WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure forward Frank Mitchell was named to the All-Atlantic 10 third team, the conference announced Wednesday (March 11). This marks the 12th consecutive season in which the Bonnies have had a player receive all-conference honors.

Averaging 16.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, Mitchell has been one of the most productive players in the country this season.

Mitchell leads the Atlantic 10 conference in total rebounds (324), offensive rebounds (139), rebounds per game (10.5) and double-doubles (19). Mitchell's double-double total is more than twice as many as the next leading player in the Atlantic 10 (Rikus Schulte of Fordham with nine).

Nationally, Mitchell ranks ninth in total rebounds and tied for fourth in double-doubles. His 4.48 offensive rebounds per game and 139 total offensive boards lead the nation.

Mitchell has tallied double-digit offensive rebounds two games this season, with a season-best 11 against Colgate (Dec. 10) and 10 vs. Ohio (Dec. 13). The forward had at least four offensive boards in each of his last seven games to close the regular season.

Mitchell reached 800 career rebounds in the Bonnies' loss at George Washington last Wednesday (March 4). He has climbed to fifth in the Bonnies' leaderboard for total rebounds in a season, tallying the most rebounds by a St. Bonaventure player since Glenn Price's 374 boards in 1973-74.

In the scoring column, Mitchell has scored in double figures in 27 of 31 games this season, with 20-or-more points in 10 of those games.

Mitchell has posted seven straight double-doubles entering Wednesday's Atlantic 10 Tournament first round matchup against La Salle. It is Mitchell's second streak of at least six consecutive double-doubles this season. Prior to this season, a St. Bonaventure player had not posted five straight double-doubles in a season since Andrew Nicholson in 2010.
