ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team fell to Villanova and North Carolina A&T Thursday and Friday in Orlando.

Bona's fell to Villanova, 6-1, Thursday before falling just short against North Carolina A&T Friday, 4-3.

The Bonnies were able to take the doubles point away from the Wildcats Thursday morning with wins at No. 1 and No. 2.

The team of Sara Montano Parada and Tamara Bachmann scored a 6-4 win at the top spot while Sienna Smith and Kelly Barnes scored a victory at No. 2.

Montano Parada and Bachmann were victorious once again at No. 1 doubles Friday morning with a 6-2 triumph.

In singles action, Motano Parada and Gabriella Blumberg captured straight set wins at No. 1 and No. 5, respectively.

Kashish Bote also picked up a win in singles, battling to a three-set win at No. 4.

The Bonnies are back in action Friday, March 20 when they travel to take on Youngstown State.
