WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The St. Bonaventure University softball team dropped game two of the Boilermaker Classic to Green Bay, 13-2, in five innings Saturday evening.
The Bonnies struck first in the top of the first frame when Kendall Stull belted a two-run double to left-center field, scoring Colsten Beers and Nolah Moyer.
Green Bay pulled one back in the bottom half of the first on an RBI single, making it a 2-1 ballgame.
The Phoenix took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the third, 3-2, scoring two runs on an RBI single and an RBI groundout. Green Bay pushed across five more runs in the inning taking and 8-2 lead over the Bonnies.
Green Bay kept its foot on the gas in the bottom of the fourth, plating five runs in the inning to take a commanding lead and the win.
Grace Miller and Sydney DeGram both registered multi-hit games for the Brown and White while Beers and Moyer also collected hits.
The Bonnies are back in action Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
