OPENING DRAW
The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team wraps up non-conference play this week with a road match up against Cornell on Wednesday before returning home to the Marra Athletics Complex on Saturday to continue Atlantic 10 competition against VCU. Prior to Saturday's contest, the team will honor its graduating seniors in the Class of 2026.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies picked up an 8-6 road win over Davidson in their last appearance this past Saturday, opening conference play on a high note. An early Wildcats lead forced SBU into damage control mode, but senior captain Brooke Piper's seventh straight hat trick helped draw the visitors back into contention.

Fellow senior Megan Schillinger led the team with four points in the contest (2G-2A), also controlling five draws. Sophomore Sidney Van Tassel posted a goal and an assist while freshman Gracie Williams recorded her second career goal.

SCORING STREAK
Piper has registered a hat trick in her last seven appearances, setting a season-high with five scores at Bucknell. She has kept this streak alive against Long Island, Binghamton, Bucknell, Robert Morris, Niagara, Furman and Davidson.

The captain leads the team with 31 points (27G-4A) and is quickly approaching the St. Bonaventure career goals record, needing just five to pass Christine Hanley, '11, who has a career total of 154 goals and was inducted into the St. Bonaventure Athletics Hall of Fame last month. Piper currently ranks second in the conference and 10th in the nation in goals.

STATISTICAL STANDOUTS
The Bonnies are well-represented across the A-10 statistical leaderboards with multiple student-athletes ranking at or near the top of the conference. Senior captain Brit Colangelo ranks second in the conference with 2.38 caused turnovers per game, also ranking ninth in ground balls per game (2.13).

Schillinger sits in second place in the A-10 with 6.13 draw controls per game. She leads the team with 49 total draw controls and posted back-to-back games with double-digit tallies with 12 against Niagara and 11 against Furman.
