No. 4 Richmond Speeds Past Bonnies Men's Lacrosse

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Fourth-ranked Richmond put together a dominating performance to score a 23-7 victory over the St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team on a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Complex.

Richmond held a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and a 13-2 advantage at halftime as the Spiders, which were the top-ranked team in the country a week ago before their lone loss of the year vs. Notre Dame, never let up the pressure.

Bonnies goalie Isaac Farmer did his part, making 16 saves including several impressive stops in net, but the Spiders (10-1, 4-0 A-10) continued to display why they are one of the nation's top squads this spring.

Richmond's attack was relentless, peppering 62 shots on the afternoon, led by five goals from Joe Sheridan and six total points by Aidan O'Neil (3G-3A).

For the Bonnies, Cole Kucinski tallied his fourth hat trick of the season and first in Atlantic 10 play by finding the back of the net three times to move to a team-best 27 goals on the year.

Junior college transfer Brady Dolan recorded his first goal at the Division I level with a second half score, also adding an assist to give him four points over the last two contests. Likewise, sophomore Kaeden Burger netted his first collegiate goal while junior transfer Brandan Buncke was credited with his first D-I assist.

Patrick Shanahan also registered his 21st goal of the year and Jaxon Dillon chipped in his 11th.

The Bonnies also found success at the faceoff dot, winning 14 faceoffs on the day, led by Lad Harper who won 10 of his 20 tries, adding seven groundballs. Jeremy Askin also won four faceoffs.
