ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University softball team dropped a doubleheader to Saint Louis Sunday morning at Joyce Field.
The Billikens grabbed game one, 10-2, before securing the doubleheader sweep with a 4-2 win in game two.
Game 1 – Saint Louis 10, St. Bonaventure 2 – 5 Innings
The Billikens took control of game one early with an 8-0 lead after the first two innings, scoring five in the first and then three in the second frame.
Saint Louis tacked on a ninth run of the game in the third on a sacrifice fly before taking a 10-0 lead with an RBI single in the top of the fourth.
The Bonnies pulled two back in the bottom of the fourth, scoring on a fielder's choice and a sacrifice fly.
It was not enough as Saint Louis held on to its 10-2 lead to secure the run-rule victory.
Nolah Moyer picked up a pair hits for the Brown and White while Abigail Ahern belted a double.
Game 2 – Saint Louis 4, St. Bonaventure 2
The Bonnies gained an early advantage over the Billikens in game two Sunday, striking for a pair in the bottom of the first on a single with an error on the play as well as a sacrifice fly from Ahern and Kymora Wang.
It was a pitcher's duel until the top of the sixth when the Billikens tied the game.
Saint Louis scored its first run of game two with an RBI groundout before tying the game with an RBI single in the next at-bat.
The Billikens grabbed the lead in the top of the seventh when Karsen Jany lined a solo home run over the center field fence. The visitors tacked on an insurance run two batters later on a double down the right field line.
Kendall Stull struck out five over 6.2 innings of work for the Bonnies in game two.
UP NEXT
The Bonnies wrap up the 2026 campaign at Joyce Field with a three-game series against George Washington starting Friday, May 1 with a doubleheader at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday's series finale will also be Senior Day for the Bonnies where they will honor senior Reanna Perkins.
