The GoBonnies.com Student-Athletes of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending Sept. 13 are men's golf junior Dante Bertoni and women's soccer freshman Callie Turpin.

Bertoni started the season strong by helping lead the Bonnies to a win in the Little Three Championship this past Tuesday.

The Endicott, N.Y. native fired a 1-under-par 69 in the first round of the event and finished with even-par 70 to win the tournament with a 139 total. Bertoni cleared the field by three strokes and led the way as SBU won the Little Three title for the ninth time in the past 10 years the event has been held.

In the season-opening event at Colgate two days prior, he recorded three solid rounds of 71-76-76 to begin the fall. He logged an average score of 72.4 over five rounds for the two tournaments.

Turpin recorded her third clean sheet of the fall as she pitched another shutout in a scoreless draw at Long Island on Sunday.

A native of Victoria, British Columbia, she made five saves at Long Island.

In four games thus far this season, Turpin as recorded a 0.76 goals against average and a save percentage of .864. She currently ranks fourth among Atlantic 10 goalies in GAA and has not surrendered a goal in over 300 minutes of game action.
