WASHINGTON, D.C. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer sophomore Ryan Holt has been selected as the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
Holt was key for the Bonnies in the Atlantic 10 opener against VCU last Saturday, netting a pair of goals to lift the Bonnies past the Rams, 2-1.
Trailing early in the first half, Holt found the equalizer for the Brown and White in the 18th minute following a corner kick that bounced around the box, eventually landing at Holt's foot.
Just 12 minutes later, Holt scored the eventual game-winning goal off a perfect cross from Brendan Sheehan in the 30th minute.
Holt's brace helped the Bonnies to their first victory over VCU since 2017.
A native of London, England, Holt has appeared in all seven games while making six starts and registering seven shots on goal.
The Bonnies are back in action Tuesday, Sept. 22 when they host Cleveland State.
