PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. – Freshmen led the St. Bonaventure women's golf team in the Autumn Harvest tournament at Architects Golf Club.

Caitrin Coyle bounced back from a difficult opening round with two solid rounds in to pace the Bonnies.

The Ohio native posted 96 in Monday's opening 18 but responded nicely with the top round of the early season for the squad with 80 in the afternoon. Coyle highlighted her final round with a birdie on the par-5 third hole, carding 84 for the finale.

Her classmate Josephine Phillips got better every round as she followed up an opening round 90 with a second round 88 and final round 84.

Freshman Lizzie Noel also posted 95-93-94.

The Bonnies return to action Oct. 12-13 at the Evann Parker Memorial at Lake View Country Club.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH PATRICK DAMORE
"The course was a topic of discussion for two days among the teams. It was more challenging than we anticipated. It measured out at 6,200 yards plus the inclement weather. The team battled as hard as they could. Caitrin Coyle had a stellar second round with an 80, battling around a triple bogey. I was proud of the way the team fought, considering that will be the longest golf course they will play all year."
