Mike Schmidt is in his second season as a graduate assistant for the Bonnies men's basketball coaching staff.
He played collegiately at Alfred University where he was an All-Conference performer for the Saxons.
The 2023 graduate was named to the All-Empire 8 Second Team twice and was also selected to the ECAC Championship All-Tournament Team as a senior.
He started 81 of 85Â games and finished his college career with 940 points.Â
Also a standout in the classroom, he was a multi-time Saxon Scholar Athlete and Dean's List member and earned a spot on the NABC Honors Court following his senior season.
He graduated high school as Olean High's all-time assist leader and helped the Huskies win the 2016 New York State Class B championship. A dual-sport athlete who also played baseball, he finished in the top 10 percent of his graduating class.
