The GoBonnies.com Female Athlete of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending Sept. 12 is women's soccer graduate student Cristina Torres.

Torres sparked the Bonnies second-half comeback effort last Sunday against Little Three rival Niagara, scoring a pair of goals in a 1:54 span to tie the game at 2-2.

In the 64^th minute, Torres got the Bonnies on the board to cut the deficit in half. Just moments later in the 65^th minute, Chanel Alexander forced a turnover just outside the Niagara box and Torres pounced on the opportunity by smashing home her second goal of the contest, tying the score.

A San Juan, Puerto Rico native, Torres leads the Bonnies with five goals this season. She ranks second among all Atlantic 10 players in goals as well as shots and shots on goal.

The Bonnies are set to open Atlantic 10 play Sunday, Sept. 18 at Richmond.
