Final Stats
BUFFALO, N.Y. -
Three Bonnies had at least four goals as the St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team defeated Canisius 18-6 in a late night showdown at the Demske Sports Complex.
Sophomore Katelyn Faas scored six times and added three assists to lead the team with nine points. Juniors Brenna Houghton and Kimberly Ross each notched four goals a piece, and Houghton added two assists to lead the Bonnies (2-4) to an 11-1 halftime lead.
Freshman Amanda Martin had two goals, and sophomore Keri Vito and freshman Patty Nessle each had a goal as well.
Junior goalkeeper Eboni Preston had five saves in the first half to pick up the victory. Freshman Tori Waheibi played the second half, making two saves as the Bonnies set a season low in goals given up. With the loss, Canisius is now 4-5 on the season.
St. Bonaventure hits the field again on April 5th in Philadelphia against La Salle in the Atlantic 10 opener. First face-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
