ALBANY, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure cross
country teams traveled to New York's capitol city to compete in the
Albany Invitational on a chilly Saturday morning.
Junior Jimmy Burton, once again finished on top for the men's side
of the Bonnies clocking in at 27:13. Senior Mike Grosso was hot on
his heels coming in a 27:54. Juniors Rahkeem Wright (28:59) and Rob
Ryer (29:33) and freshman Adam McDermott (30:15) finished up
scoring points for St. Bonaventure.
Tiffany Barkley topped the women's side coming in at 21:08 in the
5K. The junior has now finished ahead of her teammates in every
race she has run. Freshman Kimberly Burke clocked in two spots
behind Barkley at 21:14. Juniors Chelsey Rashid (21:46) and
Kimberly Fuller (22:09) along with senior Ashley Sandau (22:17)
closed out the women's side.
The Brown and White host now wait for a Halloween weekend in St.
Louis at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday, October 31.
