Dear Bonnies XC/Track Alumni,
This indoor season was defined by growth, resilience, and a commitment to competing at a high level, despite a winter that challenged us at every turn. With poor weather forcing much of our training onto treadmills, our athletes still found ways to improve, compete, and excel. We had 37 men and 30 women represent St. Bonaventure this winter, many stepping onto the track for the first time at the collegiate level.
The results reflect their determination. On the men’s side, 84% recorded at least one personal best this season, while 70% of the women achieved the same. Beyond times and performances, the team showed remarkable consistency and grit, proving that commitment and hard work prevail even in less-than-ideal conditions.
Academically, our student-athletes continue to shine. The women’s team posted a 3.64 semester GPA and a 3.62 cumulative GPA, while the men achieved a 3.55 semester GPA and a 3.50 cumulative GPA during the Fall semester - demonstrating that excellence extends both on the track and in the classroom.
As we transition into the outdoor season, the team carries forward momentum, confidence, and a strengthened work ethic. Indoor track, even with the challenges of treadmill training, helped sharpen race execution, build strength, and prepare our athletes for longer distances, varied conditions, and championship-level competition this spring.
Looking ahead, we are encouraged by the continued growth of our program. We currently have 14 women and 10 men committed to join us next year, adding depth, energy, and talent across events. We are focused on continuing to grow our roster as we move toward the Fall 2026 semester.
You can help us sustain and expand this progress through the Bonnies Athletic Fund Giving Day this April. Your support directly impacts our ability to provide resources, expand opportunities, and continue building a program our athletes and alumni can be proud of.
Thank you for your continued support. Your connection and investment play a vital role in the success of our student-athletes.
