BUFFALO, N.Y. - The men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the NCAA Northeast Regionals this weekend at Amherst Audubon Golf Course in Buffalo, N.Y.

Both teams enter the competition coming off 14th place finishes at the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships at Frank Liske Park in Concord, N.C. on Oct. 29. Freshman Nick Masiello highlighted the men's team's performance, finishing 94th in the men's 8k run with a time of 27:10.2.

Freshman Emily Steves lead the women's team in the women's 5k run, finishing 98th with a time of 19:55.1.

The Regionals are the final cross country event for seniors Catie Greene and Elizabeth Moran of the women's team. The men's team will compete out of starting box 21 and the women's team will compete out of starting box 15.

The event, featuring 40 northeastern cross country programs, will take place Saturday, Nov. 12. The men's 10k race will begin at noon followed by the women's 6k race at 1:15 p.m. The runners will seek to qualify for the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship to be held in Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 21, 2011. Admission to the competition is free and open to the public.
