Bonnies Cruise to Victory Over Detroit

ALFRED, N.Y. - Six players recorded at least three points, led by three goals and three assists from Emily Kane, and St. Bonaventure (6-8) cruised to a 21-7 victory over Detroit (3-13) at Alfred University's Merrill Field on Saturday.

The Bonnies went on a 9-0 scoring run over an 11-minute span in the first half to break an early tie and take a commanding lead that the Titans could not overcome.

Danielle Drabin (3g, 2a) finished with five points, Christine Hanley (3g, 1a) and Cara Callahan (2g, 2a) each had four, and Amanda Cizenski (2g, a) and Elspeth Mcgarry (3a) added three apiece for SBU.

Freshman goalie Karly Kocis (5-8) made six saves in the first half to earn the win, before being replaced by classmate Sara Schlagenhauf over the final 30 minutes.

Emily Boissonneault scored her 53rd goal of the season and paced the Titans with four on the day.

St. Bonaventure will conclude the 2011 season on Monday at Canisius in a game originally scheduled at McGraw-Jennings Field. The non-conference tilt is set to draw at noon.
