BUFFALO, N.Y. – Emily Kane dished out four assists and tallied two goals and Cara Callahan netted three goals to pace St. Bonaventure (6-9) in a 17-13 loss at Canisius (12-5) on Monday at Demske Sports Complex.
Kane assisted on three of the Bonnies' first four goals of the second half, including a pair under two minutes apart, as SBU rallied from an 8-5 halftime deficit to tie the game at 9 on Amdanda Cizenski's goal from Kane with 23:06 remaining.
Canisius' Taylor Gray, who finished with eight points on six goals and two assists, helped the Golden Griffins score five of the game's next six goals to take control from there.
St. Bonaventure ends its 2011 season with a 6-9 overall record that includes a 2-5 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
Callahan moved into a tie for first place with senior Christine Hanley with 38 goals on the year. For her career, Hanley (154g, 41a) will graduate as the program's leading goal scorer (154) while sitting second on the all-time scoring list (195).
Kane's 34 assists this season are good for sole possession of fourth place on the Bonnies' single-season ledger. After just two seasons at St. Bonaventure, the junior ranks third on the career assists list (88), just 31 behind record holder Kelly Chavez (119).
Danielle Drabin had three goals and an assist, moving her into a tie for 10th on the all—time scoring list.
