The St. Bonaventure men's and women's tennis teams begin their spring schedules this Saturday.

The women's team hosts Pittsburgh at 10:30 a.m. at the SBU Tennis Center. The men's team travels to State College, Pa. to take on Penn State at 10 a.m.

Ending the fall season with a singles and a doubles win at the USTA/ITA Division I Women's Northeast Regional Championship at Yale Oct. 21-23, the women begins spring play with four straight home matches. Freshman Marissa Brossard leads the team with six singles match wins while each doubles team recorded three wins last fall.
 
Representing the men's team at the ITA Men's Northeast Regionals at Cornell Oct. 14-15., junior Oscar Yanez and sophomore Elliot Fanshel lost their first round doubles match to Tom Deighton and Dan Hirschberg of Brown. Fanshel won his opening round singles match against Marco Neves of  Hartford before losing in the Round of 64 to Jonathan Pearlman of Harvard.

Fanshel, junior Luis Guevara and sophomore Javier Ortiz lead the team with four singles victories. The doubles teams of Fanshel and Guevara and junior Oscar Yanez and freshman Miguel Suarez each earned four wins during fall play. This week, the Atlantic 10 Conference coaches picked the Bonnies to finish seventh in the conference this season.

Next weekend, the team will return home to face Youngstown St. on Feb. 4 and RIT on Feb. 5. 

The men's team will end the season at the A-10 Championship in Mason, Ohio April 13-15. The women's A-10 Championship will take place April 19-22 at Boar's Head Club at Charlottesville, Va.
