The women's swimming and diving team hosts their first home meet of the season against Cleveland State this Saturday Nov 10 in the Reilly Center pool. The meet will begin at 1 p.m.
The Bonnies hope to rally from last years loss to Cleveland State 141-96.
In that match-up, then freshman Lauren Caldwell had to second place finishes for the Brown and White. She came in at 2:10.42 in the 200-yard IM and 2:09.33 in the 200-yard butterfly.
In the 200-yard freestyle, then freshman Rachel Bull finished in second place with a time of 1:57.29. Bull also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:11.42. Aly Paz finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle, touching in at 10:54.70.
Cleveland State is coming off of a bye-week and had wins over Gannon (195-48) and Niagara (189-48) on Oct 27.
The Bonnies triumphed over Duquesne (213-108), LaSalle (182-151), Xavier (224-97) and Butler (292-29) in their first conference meeting of the season on Saturday Nov 3 at the Spire Institute.
Freshman Adelyn Graf had a great day for the Bonnies, posting three top two finishes for the team. The Wilton, Conn. product touched in at 2:06.69 in the 200-yard backstroke for a first-place finish, swam in for another first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.98 and came in at 2:10.55 in the 200 IM for a second-place finish.
Sarah Barker placed first in the 1-meter with a score of 195.15. Laura O'Beirne placed first in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:24.67, and had a third-place finish in the 100-yard breast with a time of 1:07.81.
The Brown and White take a few weeks off after this meet and return to the pool Nov 30 for the Akron Invite in Akron, Ohio.
