ST BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team returns to the pool Saturday 1 p.m. to host the Binghamton University Bearcats in the Bonnies' second home meet of the season in the Reilly Center Pool.
The Brown and White hope to avenge a 166-116 loss to the Bearcats last year.
In that meeting, Lauren Caldwell took two first-place finishes and one second-place finish. She took first-place in the 200 fly and the 200 IM, with times of 2:10.87 and 2:13.55. Her second-place finish was in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:31.74.
The Bonnies are coming off of a seventh-place finish with 698 points at the Zippy Invitational hosted by the University of Akron, which took place Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
In that meet, Elizabeth Malone achieved the Bonnies best finish of the meet, taking second in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:04.45. Malone also had a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.53.
In the 1650-yard freestyle, freshman Shannon Haberman touched in at 17:18.58, good for a fifth-place finish. Adelyn Graf touched in at 2:03.43 in the 200-yard back and clinched a sixth-place finish.
Binghamton is coming back to the pool after a 191-109 win over Canisius on Dec. 2.
St. Bonaventure will return to the pool on Jan. 25 when it hosts Niagara University in the Reilly Center Pool at 6 p.m.
