GENEVA, OHIO- The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team finished the third day of the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Spire Institute in eighth-place with 137.5 points.
The Bonnies looked to the 200-yard freestyle to help move up the ranks. In the consolation finals, Rachel Bull swam in at 1:51.49 to take tenth place. Jeanette Dietrich touched in at 1:53.24, good for a 15th-place finish
Freshman Adelyn Graf showcased her talents in the 400 IM taking tenth place with a time of 4:28.92.
McKenzie Courtney tied for tenth place in the 100-yard breast with a time of 1:05.52.
Aly Paz came in at 56.69 in the 100-yard butterfly, good for a 15th-place finish in the consolation final.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Graf came in at 57.37 good for a thirteenth-place finish, sophomore Meaghan McCann finished fourteenth with a time of 57.86 and Taylor Anderson touched in at 58.97 for a sixteenth-place finish in the consolation final.
In the 400-yard IM, the Brown and White team of Graf, Courtney, Paz and Bull came in at 3:52.91 for a ninth-place finish.
At the end of the day, Richmond holds a sizeable lead on the women's board with 522 points, followed by UMass in second (468). Rounding out the women's' standings is Fordham in third with 337.5 points, La Salle (308), George Washington (191.5), Rhode Island (187), Duquesne (137), Saint Louis (137), Xavier (113) and Butler (56).
The Bonnies will return to the Spire Institute tomorrow for the final day of competition with prelims beginning at 10:30 a.m. followed by the finals at 6:30 p.m.
