HAMILTON, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure lacrosse team (4-2) dropped their second contest of 2013 Wednesday afternoon, this time at the hands of Colgate in a game originally scheduled to be played at McGraw-Jennings field. Due to unplayable field conditions the match was moved to the road.
Colgate dominated early and held off the Brown and White for most of the game en route to the 15-4 dismissal.
The Bonnies struggled both offensively and defensively in the first half, falling behind 9-0 at the break while managing just seven shots.
In the second frame, once again it was Jenna Schlagenhauf pacing the offense, scoring two goals on just three shots. Kellyn Savage and Mackenzie Jordan each added a tally of their own to round out the scoring for the Bonnies.
Sara Schlagenhauf started in net for the Brown and White but lasted just 12:19, allowing three goals. Karly Kocis took over, played the remainder of the game and allowed 12 more.
Sophomore Jenna Schlagenhauf now has 20 goals for the season. She scored just two all of her freshman season.
The Bonnies will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 23) when they travel to New Rochelle, N.Y. for a date with Gaels of Iona. Face off is currently set for 12:00 p.m.
